Here is your weekly TT Times newsletter:

Weekend Race Report-

- 23 year old Sam Long continues a dominate season with his first full distance win at Ironman Chattanooga. His win came on the back of a course record bike split. Canadian Pro Angela Naeth took her 3rd Ironman title at the race.

- Lionel Sanders continues his return to top form after taking the majority of the 2019 to recover from a sacral fracture (caused by a low speed bike accident). His win at 70.3 Augusta this weekend is further proof that the old Lionel is back. Interestingly, he is currently not on the start list for the Ironman World Championships next weekend(?). Chelsea Sodaro took the women's title and continues to show promise after changing her focus from Olympic to 70.3 distance racing.

- Kenenisa Bekele won the Berlin Marathon yesterday in a Ethiopian sweep of the men's podium. Bekele missed the $50k bonus he would have received by breaking the marathon world record: his finishing time of 2:01:41 was only 2 seconds off the current marathon world record time (also set in Berlin).

Events We're Looking Forward To:
The Ironman World Championships is Saturday, October 12th. We'll be hosting a Kona Viewing Party on race day- join us at the shop for a few minutes or even a few hours. We'll be providing coverage of the event along with Hawaiian themed food and beverages. Help us cheer on the seven locals and thousands of others competing at this historic event.

Training Thoughts and Updates-
As we head into the indoor trainer season, you may need a little motivation to get through the lonely indoor sessions: The Superleague Triathlon Series kicked off the 2019 season just in time, and I can't think of a more motivating race to watch while riding the trainer or rollers. Watch the women's race here, and the men's race here.

Gear That Caught Our Attention-
Wahoo Fitness, leaders in the indoor trainer and fitness market (as well as Boat Docks, believe it or not), recently purchased iconic pedal manufacturer Speedplay. Fingers crossed a power meter enabled Speedplay pedal may come to market in the near future.

Quote that Struck a Chord-

Have a great week!
