This Week: What are you intentionally not busy with?

Hi all,
Here is your weekly Tri Town Times newsletter:
Events I'm looking forward to:
- A few of the fastest triathletes in the world will attempt to break 8 hours (women) and 7 hours (men) for the full distance triathlon this Sunday.
- The famous Escape from Alcatraz is this Sunday.
- Coach Mark Sortino's annual Open Water Swim Clinic is Saturday, June 18. This well organized and insightful clinic is run by one of the top coaches in the country, and is ideal for beginner to experienced triathletes and open water swimmers.
Shop ops:
We are closed today in recognition of Memorial Day.
We'll be back to our normal hours tomorrow.
Quote that struck a chord:
"It's not enough to be busy. So are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?" - Henry David Thoreau.
The people who rise to the top of their field tend to be "busy" doing the most important things. The more things they add to their list, the less likely they are to reach the top of their field.
For a successful athlete, "busy" may mean family, training, and recovery.
For a less successful athlete, "busy" may mean family, work, training, TV watching, social media, and weekend parties.
Maybe an equally good question is, "What are you intentionally not busy with?"
The question is rather easy to answer if you know exactly what you want, and almost impossible to answer if you don't. This question implies there is sacrifice and compromise to be made when we commit to a goal. Being really good at something may require us being quite bad at something else, and that's okay, so long as we're intentional about what we're bad at.
Start by being clear about exactly what you want, then get busy doing it.
Train smart, and have a great week!
