Ryf and Lange win Ironman Tulsa; interview w/ Dr. Inigo San Milan; PTO ranking tool.
Hi all,
Here is your weekly TT Times newsletter:
Weekend Race Report:
- Daniela Ryf backed up her impressive performance at St. George 70.3 a few weeks ago by taking the win at Ironman Tulsa yesterday. While Daniela won on the back of a dominating bike split, Patrick Lange put together a balanced performance to win the men's race.
- Team Tri Town athlete Petra Hartmanova took the women's overall win at the Fork Worth Olympic Triathlon this past weekend, securing her a slot to the USAT National and World Championships events. Congrats Petra!
Training thoughts and updates:
If you enjoy endurance sports and listening to podcasts, then Peter Attia's Drive podcast needs to be in your podcast library. My friend Ryan Chris sent me this interview with Dr. Inigo San Milan, explaining the importance of mitochondrial function in metabolic health and elite performance. It's a long episode, but worth every second.
Shop Ops:
The shop will be closed next Monday, May 31st, in observance of Memorial Day.
Quote that struck a chord:
"You can either be judged because you created something or ignored because you left your greatness inside of you. Your call." - James Clear.
If you have a moment to spare:
The new Professional Triathlon Organization's Stats/Ranking site is very cool. I suspect they'll be adding more athletes to the site over time, but you'll notice a local legend on there and many other legends of triathlon.
Have a great week!
