St George 70.3 final prep; Daniela Ryf article.

Hi all,

Events I'm looking forward to:
This weekend is the challenging and popular St. George 70.3. Currently expected to be hot and windy on a course that has competitors climb over 3,000ft on the bike, and 1,200 on the run.

> Use the Ironman Tracker App to follow your friends.

> St. George will also host the 70.3 World Championships on September 17/18.

Training thoughts and updates:
Need to get in some "panic training" before St. George?

> Our coaching staff will be at Quinn's Pond at 6pm tonight for open water swim practice. The water is cold, hovering around the high 50's (wetsuit required and thermal swim cap recommended).

> Our popular Threshold Ride starts at 6pm on Tuesday. The route is the classic "Dump Loop" to help athletes prepare for the hills of St. George. The starts "easy" until the base of Hill road and Seaman's Gulch. Once we hit the hills it's every person for themselves.

Shop Ops:
The Tri Town Service Crew is working overtime to get your bike back in your hands as fast as possible: if you would like our crew to tune/inspect your bike before race day, consider scheduling a bike drop-off time to minimize the time it sits in the queue.

Quote that struck a chord:
"When you win, say nothing.
When you lose, say less."

If you have a moment to spare:

A closing thought:
An archer does not learn to hit a target by studying the target or memorizing rules.
She learns to hit the target through thoughtful training and practice.

Have a great week!
