Quote that Struck a Chord-
“I’d always end up broken down on the highway. When I stood there trying to flag someone down, nobody stopped. But when I pushed my own car, other drivers would get out and push with me. If you want help, help yourself – people like to see that.”
If You Have a Moment to Spare-
If you identify with Chris Rock's quote above, then you'll like this article
from VeloNews regarding Matteo Jorgenson. Matteo, along with Will Barta, are some of the few up and coming WorldTour level cyclist who grew up here in Boise, Idaho. The article highlights the tenacity and dogged persistence Matteo demonstrated to break into the pro field. Even though Matteo clearly had the talent and ability to be competitive at the highest level, it didn't mean the ProTour teams simply embraced him and pulled him down the path to success. We can't be surprised when the world doesn't do us a favor. The world owes us nothing. Like Matteo, begin by helping yourself instead, and you may be surprised how opportunities begin coming out of the woodwork.
Have a great week!
