Strade Bianche returns in Tuscany, Italy; Garmin services return after a 10m ransom payment; Local pro Danielle Dingman is having a great 2020 season.
Weekend Race Report:
- Pro Tour racing returns with the Strade Bianche. The ~120 mile classic race is known for its extended gravel segments (~40 miles of gravel), and takes places in Tuscany, Italy. Reigning world champion Annemiek van Vleuten took the women's title, and cyclocross star Wout Van Aert won the men's race. Local star Matteo Jorgenson started the race as the youngest rider, but unfortunately flatted out on one of the many gravel segments.
- Local pro Danielle Dingman had a great start to the 2020 season, with a 2nd at 70.3 Dubai and a 3rd at 70.3 Campeche. She continued her string of strong performances with a win in the Ironman VR Pro Challenge this weekend.
