Take a deep dive into mountain bike maintenance and repair with our 201 level class. During this 3 hour course our professional mechanics will show you how to maintain key components on your mountain bike, including the drivetrain, the braking system, wheels, and more.

Some mechanical experience is recommended before signing up for this course.  If you need some practice, please consider signing up for our 101 level course first.

We will discuss and practice the following during the class:

  • Disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of drivetrain components (chain, cassette, crank, and derailleurs).
  • Derailleur adjustments.
  • Brake adjustments and how to bleed hydraulic brakes and straighten bent rotors.
  • How to true a wheel.
  • How to conduct a quick and easy safety check on any bicycle
  • Basic tools for home mechanical work.

We will NOT be reviewing flat tire and repair work during this clinic (please sign up for one of our flat tire and repair classes if you need help in this department).

This is a hands-on clinic- you will be working on your own bike. We provide all necessary tools and equipment.

Class size is limited to 3 participants. Please sign up to reserve your place in class.
