The 2025 Áspero builds on the performance and versatility of the original, while maintaining the same DNA that Cervélo's flagship gravel bike model is known for!
Key updates include a T47a threaded bottom bracket shell offering the stiffness benefits of BBRight in a more user-friendly, serviceable format. The new Áspero also adopts SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH), enabling compatibility with Transmission drivetrains and ensuring future drivetrain support.
The updated Áspero also features refinements to the frame reducing drag while increasing front and rear compliance, contributing to energy efficiency and fighting fatigue over long distances. Additional clearance between the seat stays enhances mud shedding and tire clearance, drawing on lessons learned from the harsh conditions at gravel races like Unbound. Like previous generations, the fork features Cervélo’s Trail Mixer, allowing riders to ride 650b wheelsets for max clearance in the most demanding terrain!
The GRX 820 model of the bike features Shimano's top of the line mechanical 12 speed gravel groupset. With a 2x front derailleur sporting 48/31 chainrings, and an 11-36t cassette the drivetrain offers plenty of range for going fast both on and off-road. A clutch on the rear derailleur and powerful brakes help it handle confidently over rough terrain.
