In addition to coaching triathletes, I have worked with thousands of students, athletes, and parents closely the past twelve years as a high school athletic director, high school coach, and high school counselor. I currently work with families at Bishop Kelly High School as a school counselor. My wife and my 4 year old daughter are my biggest supporters and fans.
Matt Humphrey (M.S. ATC, CSCS) has been coaching athletes since his time at Mars Hill College in North Carolina where he was a starter on the men's soccer team 2003 - 2007. While at Mars Hill Matt completed his B.S. in Athletic Training where he worked with all varsity sports. Matt continued his education at Marshall University earning a master's degree in Exercise Physiology. While at Marshall he coached a variety of teams in the Olympic weight, coached kids triathlon camps, and was an Athletic Trainer at a local high school. Matt then made his way to Nashville Tennessee area where he worked on additional graduate work in endurance performance while working as an athletic trainer. With employment stops in Spruce Pine NC, Boise ID, Salt Lake City UT and now back in Boise Matt has been working with endurance and triathletes here in the Treasure Valley though the YMCA. In cooperation between TriTown, Matt, and the YMCA endurance and triathlon club coaching is still available.
Trish Wineman has been a health and fitness enthusiast throughout her life and have competed in various sports and outdoor recreational activities since childhood. She has trained and raced as an age group triathlete since 2001, in every major distance from sprints to full distance ironmans, as well as bike racing (road and cyclocross) and many running events from 5k's and relays to marathons. Trish is a licensed massage therapist, USAT Certified Triathlon Coach, and has instructed group strength training and TRX classes, as well as yoga. Trish has a passion for health, healing, and maintaining an active lifestyle while having a lot of fun.
Antonio Gonzalez is the owner and co-founder of Tri Town. His journey with triathlon began in 2004 as an avid competitor, and soon grew to a passion for all things triathlon. Antonio is not only a triathlon shop owner, but also a USAT Certified Coach, a professional mechanic, a bicycle fitter, occasional race director, and a multiple age-group state champion Olympic distance triathlete. Antonio has been coaching triathletes since 2006, and now oversees Tri Town's coaching programs.
