The Garmin Vivoactive 3 is the latest watch from Garmin's Sport/Fitness and Activity Tracking line. We find this latest model to be overall cleaner and sharper looking than prior models, and like the Vivoactive 2, includes wrist based heart rate.

The Vivoactive 3 has over 15 pre-loaded sport apps, allowing you to quickly track your sport's key metrics whether it be indoor swimming, biking, running, golf, yoga, and much more. Customize your watch display with different clock faces and colors.

Using both the GPS and GLONASS satellite systems, the watch quickly picks up satellite signals and accurately tracks your distance, elevation gain, and altitude. Battery life is impressive, with 13 hours in GPS mode and 7 days in normal watch mode.

New for the Vivoactive 3 is a Garmin Pay- allowing you to pay for items on the move with only your watch. Further integration with your phone allows for smart notifications, music selection, and much more.

I've owned the original Vivoactive and now the Vivoactive 3. The new, round shape looks great, and the stainless steal finish is not only slightly raised above the glass helping to protect the screen, but looks sharp as well. I use the watch not only as a daily lifestyle piece, but also for all my swim and run workouts. It captures enough data for everything I need (heart rate, pace, intervals, distance), and is only missing the ability to read power from my bike. This is not really a problem as I use a different device when cycling (Wahoo Elemnt Bolt). Overall great little watch.
