Great Racing at 70.3 World Champs (Dan Wins Gold!)

A strong group of Boise-based athletes made the journey to Austria for the 70.3 World Championships, and once again showed the world that small-town Boise has some serious triathlon talent.

Dan Stephens, local triathlon legend and regular at almost all TriTown workouts, won his age group at Zell Am-See, making him the 50-55 age group World Champion! Dan had been as close as second by just 10 seconds in a prior world championship event. Few athletes are as dedicated, consistent, and humble as Dan, and we could not be more proud of him.

All Boise athletes we're aware of finished the race and many had the race of their life. Their stories are too extensive to tell here, but here is a list of the athletes we know competed last weekend:

Suzanne Bresnahan-Haynes, Harold Frobisher, Margaret Hepworth, Steve Hodges, Sarah Jackson, Sam Kristensen, Richard Roats, and Dan Stephens.
