Hi all,

Here is your weekly TT Times newsletter:

Weekend Race Report-

- Ironman Boulder was Sunday with a large group of locals competing. Congrats to all who conquered this challenging course.

- The World Triathlon Series event in Leeds this paste weekend was one of the most anticipated races on the 2019 calendar- toeing the line for the men's race were legends like Alistair and Jonny Brownlee, Javier Gomez, Mario Mola, Vincent Luis, Richard Murray, and Henri Schoeman. But in the end it was new players Jacob Birtwhistle of Great Britain, and Matt McElroy of the USA (the first medal for a US-based man at a WTS event since 2009) along with Javier Gomez in 3rd rounding out the podium.

- Georgia Taylor Brown of GB won the women's event at Leeds over American Katie Zaferes. This marks Katies first defeat of the 2019 season, having won 3 events already.

Events We're Looking Forward To-
Coach Mark Sortino's free Open Water Swim Clinic at Quinn's Pond is Saturday, June 15th from 8-10am. Don't have a wetsuit? No worries, just stop by our shop before the clinic to reserve a suit.

Shop Ops-
Thank you to everyone who has inquired and/or dropped off a resume for our bicycle mechanic position. The right person will have some professional mechanical experience, be interested in working in the bicycle industry as a long-term career choice, be thoroughly kind and enjoyable, and able to work 30+ hours per week. If you or someone you know is interested, please have them email [email protected] or stop by with a resume to schedule an interview.

Gear That Caught Our Attention-
I love what Silca has done the past few years- when many companies are focused on producing product as cheaply as possible with little knowledge and control over the manufacturing process (typically because manufacturing is outsourced and done overseas), Joshua Poertner has flipped this paradigm by focusing on high quality US manufacturing, innovation, and a true passion for cycling history.

Popular Social Post-
Do you live near Veterans Memorial or Whitewater Park in Boise? Please see this ACHD interactive map to post recommendations for new bike lanes, sidewalks, crosswalks, etc.

If You Have a Moment to Spare-
If you're a bike data-nerd you'll love the "Marginal Gains" podcast (available on iTunes) from Josh Poertner of Silca.

Have a great week!
